Martine MooreA native of France,began her studies in dance at the age of 12 in the City of Pau and in Monte Carlo at theVaganova School of Dance of Marika Bessobrasova. She began her professional career with the Ballet Company of the Lille Opera House. During this time, she also represented France at the Moscow International Ballet Competition. She was a soloist in 1975 with the Ballet de Rhin, the ballet company of the Grand Theatre de Geneve in 1978, the Northern Ballet theater in 1980, Ballet de Marseille in 1981 and the Bonner Ballet in Bonn, Germany in 1982. In 1984, Martine and three other dancers opened the Ecole Francaise de Ballet in Bonn, where she taught until moving to Nice, France in 1988. She was voted into the Town Council, founded her own ballet studio and spearheaded important cultural activities which to this day are still being held every summer. Martine is married to Robert Moore, French Horn player with the Florida West Coast Symphony. They have two children, Laura Amelie and Jonathan.
